National Blog Post Month or NaBloPoMo for short! If you recall last year, I gave this crazy idea of blogging everyday for a month a shot and actually succeeded. Considering my rather abismal job of blogging this fall, I figured this might be just the ticket to get me posting again.
So for today’s post I figured I would recap the AWESOME concert Becca and I went to see last night. We heard “Sigh No More” “White Blank Page” and in case you haven’t guessed it by now, the best band ever* Mumford & Sons. They played at the Riviera Theatre here in Chicago and their tight harmonies, passionate intensity, skilled musicianship, literary lyrics and unique ability to get a whole audience dancing to what is essentially a folk band (guitar, keyboard, banjo and upright bass) created a rocking show.

Despite my keen interest in dancing along to their music, standing in a pulsing inebriated group of youngsters (“Get off my darn lawn!”) for 4 hours held little appeal. Luckily Becca and I got their early enough to score excellent balcony seats, so I thoroughly enjoyed myself from the comfort of my toe-tapping seat. Anyways on the off chance that Mumford & Sons happens through your neck of the woods anytime soon, I highly suggest you get yourself a ticket, I think they are only going to get more popular during the coming years. Anyways I will finish off with another of their music videos, which I also think helps capture a bit of their attitude (and is one of my favorite of their songs).
*okay, okay slight exageration, but still pretty much amazing
